Here is a series of works that use words, sentences and the distribution of these elements on the page to explore issues of semantics and our ways of using words and imagination to communicate.

Lexical semantics is a linguistic theory that investigates word meaning. This theory understands that the meaning of a word is fully reflected by its context.

There is an inherent necessity of openness to the improbable in order to experience beyond the known.

Time is the medium through which revolution and change can become manifest.

Semantic storm winds.

The endless proliferation of ideas and ideals. Where is the person in all of this?

Retiring to the quiet (meditative quiet) of home, amidst the insistent winds of endless semantics, still sensing the deep low hummm of the machinery of mind grinding away beyond the insulating walls and windows.

Describe a dream which occurs at a significant moment in a life and in a constellation of other events. Try to work through the dream to understand its significance, questioning the process as well as attempting to ferret out hidden motives, themes, repressions.

Describe the outside world, the social context, the daily work, hopes, angst, etc.

This is the defining framework of accepted semantic elements, forms and tools. What takes place within this framework cannot easily touch what occurs outside of this fundamental axiomatic world view. This is the exploratory edge of what is knowable.

And beyond the frame anything is still possible as it is not hard-wired into our conceptual world. (neural network)

The story diagram describes various trajectories and events in a world with two skies. There is a significant encounter of individuals from two worlds between the physical horizon and another event horizon. There is also a side-quest before our protagonist returns to his original path. (the way)

An autotelic person needs few material possessions and little entertainment, comfort, power, or fame because so much of what he or she does is already rewarding.

In a dense semantic forest.
A refreshing breeze of silence.

As politics of gain and control has dulled the penetrating intelligence of an enquiring mind, the quest hangs in the air. Vested interests have taken the earth and its inhabitants as their play things. Games for big girls and boys. Great stakes, great rewards and other such clucking sounds. Un-reason is the only reason accepted. Institutionalized terror and fear mongering. Undermining of basic impulses to cooperation and concern for one’s fellows of all persuasions.

Exercise mutual respect amongst individuals and peoples (tribes)
Respect and care for the earth and all beings
Do not knowingly do harm
Donj’t covet what is your neighbor’s
So not relinquish compassion and understanding for animal impulses
Not all that is natural must be accepted or condoned (or rejected) for this reason alone
Evolution and developmenet of new ways can be good
Progress should not be a universal imperative
Ownership is an illusion
Do not steal from or bear false witness against your neighbor (another)
Do not kill

Standing alone before the north-west mid-winter wind and sub-zero temparatures for days.
Ascetic existence within the over-riding current of semantic profusion, and the willful proliferation of power garnering etc. etc. etc.

Oriented to parallel the earth’s or other planet’s axis, thus establishing a sympathy of vibration with the surrounding world system including all forms of evolving life and thru and beyond this, inanimate matter.
